KVOX — The Voice of Kolkata — is a bilingual digital newsroom based in Salt Lake, Kolkata. We cover the city and its neighbourhoods — Kolkata proper, Salt Lake & NewTown, and the wider district — alongside state and national politics, business, entertainment, and sport, publishing in both Bengali and English so readers can follow the news in whichever language they're most comfortable in.

Our Mission

We exist to report Kolkata's stories with the depth and context they deserve — civic affairs, public grievances, local business, culture, and the everyday realities of life in the city — delivered quickly, accurately, and in the language our readers actually speak at home.

Editorial Standards

Our newsroom is committed to accuracy, fairness, and independence. Every story is checked against primary sources before publication. When we get something wrong, we correct it — visibly, and as soon as we're aware of the error.
